The round washer is made of steel with bright zinc plated surface treatment for indoor use, and hot dipped galvanised or stainless acid proof A4 for outdoor use. The round washer has a hardness corresponding to HV 200. In designs according to ISO 7089 and DIN 125.

A bolt in a particular strength class fitted with a nut in the corresponding strength class (Technical data, table) is designed to form a joint in which one can obtain a preload in the bolt corresponding to the test force without the risk of the thread shearing. In order to obtain the best possible installation, you should when installing bolts in grade 8.8 use a washer in strength class HV 200.
