WOOD SCREW H-PT HEXAGON HEAD PARTIAL THREAD

ESSVE Wood screw H-PT is primarily intended for large screw connections with long screws in mass timber, for instance CLT, glulam, LVL etc. where a high clamping force between two timber elements is desired. The smaller screws in the product group are of course also suitable for use in traditional structural timber. The shape of the screw head and shaft makes it ideal for use with steel plates and wood connectors, either with or without a washer.

ESSVE Wood screw H-PT has a hexagon head with TX-drive. It has a partial thread, directly above the normal thread is a milling thread that eases installation by reducing friction. The screw is intended for indoor use and is made of hardened steel with bright zinc plating (min. 5 µm), C1.
ESSVE Wood screw H-PT is CE marked thru ETA-22/0789 which permits installation with shorter edge distances than what is given in Eurocode 5.

- Easy to install with low torque
This screw is partial threaded and have a hexagon head combined with a TX-hold. The corrosion class is C2 and it should be indoor (lifting can be outdoor). The head is designed to manage assembly with steel plates.

Installation is possible with either socket or TX-drive. Avoid overtightening the screw after the screw head meets the steel plate so that wooden fibers around the thread are not destroyed, with a loss of load capacity.
