ESSVE Wood screw CY-FT is primarily intended for large screw connections with long screws in mass timber, for instance CLT, glulam, LVL etc. if the connection uses inclined or cross configuration the high axial capacity of the screw type can be utilized. The screw can also be used as reinforcement. The screw provides no clamping force, so the elements can either be joined together with a different type of fastener or utilize the dead weight from one of the elements to make a tight connection.

ESSVE Wood screw CY-FT has a cylindrical head with TX-drive and full thread. The screw is intended for indoor use and is made of hardened steel with yellow zinc plating (min. 12 µm), C2. The largest and longest screws in the product group have a special cut in the tip that aids installation with minimal pressure, both for vertical and inclined installations.

ESSVE Wood screw CY-FT is CE marked thru ETA-22/0789 which permits installation with shorter edge distances than what is given in Eurocode 5.

Make sure that you use an extra handle to minimize the risk of injuries due to high torque for the longer screws. The screw is often recessed deeper into the wood which require a longer bits.
