With ESSVE HDS Decking Screws, you can build a deck with a premium, seamless finish—where the screw heads are completely hidden.
HDS Decking Screws are designed for hidden installation and are recommended for building decks with newly produced pressure-treated timber.
With the ESSVE Hidden Decking System (HDS), you get a clean, professional-looking deck surface—free of visible screw heads. The result? A sleeker appearance that looks and feels like a high-end finish.
Installation is simple: the screws are mounted diagonally through the side of the board using our smart HDS Pro Tool and specially adapted HDS bits.
ESSVE HDS is perfect for those who want a beautiful, long-lasting deck.

HDS Decking Screws are recommended for use in newly treated pressure-impregnated decking timber.
The threads extend all the way to the tip of the screw, making it easy to grip the wood with minimal pressure and sink smoothly into the material.
The screws are available in stainless steel, A2/A4 grade, which resists corrosion and allows for natural wood movement. Please view chart by the product images for guidance on which stainless grade to use.

ESSVE HDS Decking Screws are installed diagonally into the side of the deck board using the HDS Pro installation tool and specially designed HDS bit.
Choose the right screw for your decking:
- Timber thickness 25–30 mm and max width 145 mm – use HDS Decking Screw 4.8x60 mm
- Timber thickness 30–40 mm and max width 145 mm – use HDS Decking Screw 4.8x75 mm
Use the HDS Pro Tool installation tool for timber widths between 110–155 mm.
Important notes:
- These screws are recommended for installation in newly treated timber.
- Make sure to install screws at least 3 cm from the board ends (installing closer may cause the wood to split).
- For a splinter-free result, we recommend our HDS Pro Screw, which features a drill point and head designed to minimize splintering.
The HDS decking screws are installed using the HDS Pro Tool, designed for timber widths between 110–155 mm. When you purchase the tool, it includes 2 special bits and a decking spacer to ensure even spacing between boards.
Recommended installation speed: 400–1200 RPM.
